Funding Information

How funded hours are arranged across the weeks that Banbury School Day Nursery is open.

How funding works

At Banbury School Day Nursery, we provide funding over the 50-week period that we are open. The funding is paid for 38 weeks of the year and we spread this over the weeks we are open.

The session patterns below show how funded hours may be arranged. Banbury currently has no spaces available, with the next expected availability in August 2027. Funded sessions remain subject to the spaces we have at the time of booking.

15-hour universal funding

  • Two short days, 8:30am-2:30pm.
  • One full day and four additional hours, subject to spaces available.
  • Three afternoons, 1:00pm-5:00pm.

30-hour working entitlement

  • Two full days and four hours each week, or five hours if your child attends on a Monday because of the bank holiday.
  • Four short days, 8:30am-2:30pm.
  • Four afternoons, 1:00pm-5:00pm, and one additional day.

Important information for parents

The nursery does not charge any additional fees on funded hours. If you require further sessions, these will be charged accordingly and shown as a breakdown on the nursery invoice.

It is a parent's responsibility to update the funding code on the government childcare account every 12 weeks. If you do not update your funding code, you might lose your funding entitlement.
